Lohirysää kokemassa
Lohen isorysäkalastus lisääntyi vasta 80 – luvulla kun pyydykset kehittyivät kestävämmiksi ja soveliaammiksi avomeriolosuhteisiin. Samalla veneellä jolla käytiin siikaverkoilla, voitiin kauniilla ilmalla kokea myös rysät. Harmaahylkeiden ilmestyminen rannikolle lopetti perinteisten rysien käytön 2000-luvulla.
Fishing salmon with fykes
The large fyke net fishing of the Salmon increased in the 80s as the gear became stronger and more appropriate for open sea conditions. The same boat that was used for net fishing of the Whitefish could in fair weather also be used for checking the fyke nets. The arrival of the Grey Seals to the coast put an end to traditional fyke net fishing in the 2000s.
