Thanks to its nature, Yyteri is a magnificent place in which to spend the summer. It is one of the most extensive continuous beaches and dune areas in southern Finland. With its wide range of services, Yyteri is an ideal destination for a one-day beach holiday or a longer stay. The unique landscape of Yyteri consists of extensive dune areas, i.e. mounds of drifted sand, fringed with ridges covered with Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). Yyteri’s popular beach is its most extensive active dune area. It is approximately three kilometres long and 200–300 metres wide. Yyteri is part of the Preiviikinlahti bay Natura 2000 area.
