Lighthouse Islands
Interest in "lighthouse" tourism has grown immensely in recent years. The Bothnian Sea has its share of interesting lighthouse islands.
The lighthouse island of Säppi is part of a lost world. The lighthouse, the lighthouse guards' and pilots' accommodation and the warehouse are the main attractions. The island is also home to the rare moufflon sheep.
The lighthouse island Kylmäpihlaja is the outermost islet in the Rauma archipelago. The lighthouse was completed in 1953. The lighthouse building houses accommodation and cafe with conference facilities on the upper floor. About 10 000 visitors come to Kylmäpihlja lighthouse island every year.
